what can I do for my old man's whiskers, plant it usually dies in summer , i keep it under the carport I dont have a shady spot in the garden in winter is fine but summer it just brittles and I wet everyday but it does not help it does not grow, it shrinks I don't know what is wrong do you know?? I have hanged under tree, but it is the same issue thanks

I hv a blue airplane & domeone said to soak it & then it was in a hot inclosed space. It shrank into it self, i thought it got too dry. Now it's falling apart. 😭

This is definitely one of my favorite Tillandsia species! I have four of them, and they seem to be thriving 😁👍

Are there any ways to save a dying plant aside from monthly fertilizer?

My xerographica was injured by a few falls, due to wind, from it's tree perch over the spring/,summer. Zone 7a. Some of the leaves ate split/torn perpendicularly across. Should i just prune them off? Also, anchor root ball? is black, yet not rotten , more dry. Has 3 healthy roots growing out. Indoors in sunroom now. Misted daily and dunked q 2-3 weeks. Help? Its appox 7" across. Pretty large.

I live in a humid area, and when I soak my plants at all or spray my plants more than once/wk, they turn brown and rot. What is your advice, since almost all of my airplants end up dying in this way ?

I love Spanish moss. It hangs from my neighbors huge oak tree and I love watching it change, grow, and sway in the breeze. If I had a tree in my yard, I'd make sure it became a home for Spanish moss.

Great tips! I have a question about using my tap water for my T. tectorum. My tap water is very hard…is it true that excessively hard water can be a problem for Tillandsia sp.?
